One of our commitments is to be a part of our community
both on the job and beyond. In addition to the community
service work that our company and employees do, which
averages upwards of 9,500 hours annually, each year
our entire staff comes together for our Team Snell meeting.
The meeting is invaluable as a training and educational
forum and the philosophies, fun and shared experiences
at Team Snell are instrumental in creating an ongoing
environment of care and concern about each other as
well our patients and other healthcare professionals
in our various communities.
An Overview
• Team Snell is a daylong, unique training event
for Snell Prosthetic and Orthotic Laboratory clinical
and administrative staff. This mandatory educational
day was started in 1993 and has been held annually ever
since.
• Employees come from all nine Snell Laboratory
facilities.
• Each meeting is a themed meeting, designed
to get the clinical, administrative, legislative updates,
and fellowship messages across in a fun and memorable,
yet instructive way. Themes have ranged from Hollywood,
to Razorbacks, to Pirates to Rodeo/Old West.
• In addition, suppliers who are long- term supporters
of the facility are invited to exhibit and instruct
attendees on new technologies/techniques.
• Clinical staff members earn CEUs from the various
accrediting boards in the field.
